Weekend with Aunt Woo Woo

Aunt Woo Woo came to visit me this weekend. She missed me, since we got to spend all that time together while Mom and Dad were being lazy in Tahoe. Aunt Woo Woo took me to the park, for wagon rides and let me play in a mud puddle. We went to the mall so I could run around the kids area and I got a donut snack, yummy. She flew a kite with me, too.

She leaves on Sunday so I'm going to be super sad. I only want to play with Aunt Woo Woo and I only want to share my snacks with her too. Mommy asked for one of my grapes and I told her "no", then I smiled and made sure she was looking and gave one to Woo Woo. Maybe next time Mom and Dad will think twice before deserting me for so long.

Hungry Caterpillar

On Friday, I had hungry caterpillar day at school. We read the Hungry caterpillar book and made a fruit salad of all the fruits that the caterpillar ate. Yummy. Last time I read that story I was at Grandpa Blackman's house. I have a summer reading list for school that includes Baby Beluga and The Wheels on the Bus. My Grandmom and Grandpop Wilson already got me those books, they are two of my favorites. I might have to move into the Advanced Toddler reading class.

18 months

Yep, I've reached the year and a half mark. Officially, my age rounds up to 2. I have the height of a 2 year and the youthful glow of a newborn...yes, I'm blessed.

I like to run

We live by the high school and they have a big track. I love to run on it. No seriously, I run on the track in one lane. I'm not joking, I can run a complete lap. I would have run more, but my Mom kicked my Cars kickball in the field and I had to run and keep kicking it.

T-Shirt

My Mom and Dad went to Tahoe and all I got was this lousy t-shirt. And a backyardigans book. And a Batman comic book. And a Superman comic book.

My first tornado

As many of you might have seen in the news a twister came into my town. I think the scientific name is Tornado. At 3:30ish my Mom woke up to the whistling of the tornado passing by our house. She ran upstairs to check on me and Dad was busy finding the news channel. Aunt Wendy woke up and watched me, while Mom and Dad decided if I needed to move downstairs to our utility room so we could all be safe. After gathering up blankets, flashlights, milk, water, radio and our computer Mom came upstairs and got me. I just slept in Mom's arms while the storm passed. Rusty came in the room too. Chloe failed the tornado drill, as she was hiding under the couch. We are fine and our house is fine too. The real damage was found in our backyard. My slide and bike were overturned and my pool was filled with water and leaves, though hours earlier it was empty. Across the street, the houses are missing shingles and the flag poles and street signs are bent and trees were everywhere. Crazy.

Ouch

Forgot to mention that I got my first skinned knee. I was playing in the backyard with Aunt Wendy before my parents left town and I fell on my knee. I didn't cry at all, but my knee bled a little. My mom blames herself as it was my first day to wear shorts this Spring and she dressed me. How silly, if only my Mom could figure out how many injuries I will get in my lifetime.

They're back!!

My special time with Aunt Woo Woo has come to an end. There was still a glimmer of hope that I would get an extra day with her as several of American Airlines flights were cancelled. In the end, Mom and Dad were one of the lucky ones and only had a 20 minute delay. All day I soaked up my special time with Aunt Wendy. It was raining so we couldn't play in my new sandbox.
Instead we went to Chik-fil-A. The store by my house is awesome. They have special cups of cheerios, table tops so my food doesn't sit directly on the table and hand wipes so I can clean my hands after I play on the indoor playground.

I was anxiously waiting for Mommy and Daddy to get home, but I fell asleep. I guess that means no more tuna for Rusty and Chloe and no more cookies for me.

One more day....

My mom and dad are heading home tomorrow. Yesterday I got to talk to Mom, I was busy playing hide and seek with Aunt Wendy so all I could do was giggle. Here are a few pictures from yesterday.

Message from Mom and Dad

My mom and dad are missing me a ton. They call to check up on me and make sure Aunt Wendy and I are doing good. Aunt Wendy covers for me and tells them I am asleep if they call too late. She's awesome. Mom and Dad sent these pictures from Lake Tahoe, their smiles are covering up there incredibly sadness since I am not with them.

Hanging with Aunt Wendy

My Mom and Dad went to Lake Tahoe without me. Don't be sad for me, there really isn't much for a 17 month old to do in Tahoe, even though I am athletically advanced skiing seems a bit to difficult. Aunt Wendy and I have already gone to the crawl park, the mall and played outside a ton. Tonight we are going to the circus, as long as I am a good boy. Here's to four more days of ice cream cone breakfasts and chocolate cake dinners.
