I Miss Daddy!!

I'm in Mom's hometown (League City, TX) for the weekend celebrating Aunt Woo Woo's birthday and hanging out with Uncle Bryan. I've been trying to fill my day with fun and exciting new things. Today I hung out with Pop Pop and helped build a fence.
Here I am driving my car. Here I am picking a wildflower.
Here I am climbing a tree with Pop Pop.
I went shopping with Mommy and Grandma. I met some of Mommy's friends and their little boy Levi (who was kind enough to share some animal crackers with me).

Eating snacks with Levi
Hugs for Levi.
No matter what I did it still couldn't help the fact that I miss my Daddy. I can't wait to see him.

Oh...it's Woo Woo's birthday today......yea for birthday cake. I convinced Woo Woo to cut me a piece for breakfast. I think birthday cake is a perfect meal to start the day. Also, my vocabulary is growing leaps and bounds along with my love of Mickey Mouse and The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I got a Mickey Mouse and a Minnie Mouse plush toy which I have played with non-stop.
Now I just have to talk someone into taking me to Disneyworld to meet them again in real life. Last time I went to Disney I was more into Pooh and Tigger, but now my heart belongs to Mickey.

Yea, Aunt Woo Woo's Here!!

Today I went shopping with my Grandma and Mommy. We went all around town, it was a lot of fun. I was a real good boy, so Mommy and Grandma picked out a Mickey and Minnie plush toy for me. I love them. So far Minnie and Mickie have performed the "Hot Dog" about a million times. Pop Pop came home early from work to play with me. We watered blueberries and strawberries in the backyard. I camed in soaked, so Mom had to change my clothes. She got this picture first.
Then Pop Pop and I walked all around the neighborhood and played with my car and wagon. After school the big kids were playing basketball and football in the cul-de-sac, I was excited to play with Aunt Woo Woo and Matt when they came into town. I was super happy to see Woo Woo. Here's some random pictures from today:

Grandma's house is filled with flowers and is still decorated for mardi gras. She must know I love beads. Though, I haven't been wearing any beads since Fat Tuesday. I wouldn't want to make a fashion Faux pas.Check out this cool action shot. I was running super fast in the backyard.

Road Trip

Dad dropped me off at school this morning. I was expecting Mom to pick me up early, since it is her last day of work (yeah for Mommy). But boy was I surprised when it was Mom and Dad. I showed off Mom and Dad to my friends and then we waved good bye and I figured we were heading home. Boy was I wrong. We went to the airport and dropped Dad off, so he could go on an airplane to Phoenix. He's visiting Grandma B. Then Mom and I drove all the way to League City (just South of Houston). It was a long trip, but I did great. I was very excited to play with Pop-Pop, Grammie, and Uncle Bryan. I played with all the cool toys here. Here I am fishing with Pop-Pop. I can't wait to see what we do tomorrow. Pop-Pop has to work in the morning, but I think he might try to get home early to play with me. This is a picture of me, when Mom told me I had to go to bed.

Running with my Dad

Today I went to school and played with my friends. It was a little warm today. Wish my parents would catch on and send me in shorts and a t-shirt. Instead I get long sleeves and pants and sweat up a storm on the playground. After school Dad picked me up and took me for a run in the jogging stroller around the neighborhood. I did great, though Dad looked pretty sweaty and tired at the end. After Mom got back from the gym we ate dinner and played. Dad is leaving for Phoenix tomorrow and is going to miss me lots.....I bet he misses Mommy too.

Double Playdate

Today Dad took me to school, where I got to play and listen to books in circle time. This week we are reading Big Panda,Small Panda. Our vocabulary words for the week are big, small, tiny, thin, fat, skinny, wide and narrow. Mom is not to sure how she is going to teach me concepts like narrow, but I have to love the fact that she tries. This week, on the ride home from school she has been reading me my words and trying to relate them to the things I see out the window. Thankfully, the car ride is only 3-5 minutes.
Today was a surprise though. I was napping at school and I woke up to Mommy rubbing my back and telling me that my friends Bobby and Ben were coming over to play. I quickly woke up and waved goodbye to my classmates. When I got home I waited for Bobby and Ben to come over. I was so excited, though for the duration of the playdate I would act disinterested (I was still a little tired). During the playdate, we played with toys, watched Mickey Mouse (and a short excerpt of Madagascar II, not sure that Mom likes that one), and had snacks. At the end, Bobby and Ben packed up their stuff and headed home. Bobby and I posed for several hug pictures, but Mom had the camera on movie mode. Trust me, they would have been super cute. Imagine the cutest picture of little toddler best friends hugging, multiply it by 100 and that was us. I was sad to see Bobby go, after his car pulled away I yelled "Wait for Riley" and "Wait Bobby..wait". Here's some pictures of Bobby and I hanging out with Rusty.

Caroline was napping at her house and didn't wake up in time to hang out with Bobby and Ben, but by the time she got here I was much more awake. Though, when she came I was still saying, "wait Bobby..wait". Caroline and I watched a little Mickey Mouse, ran around the house playing tag, chased after Rusty (Caroline is so sweet she calls him a kitten, but really Rusty is a big cat. Hey "big" is one of my vocabulary words. Mom will be so impressed.) and colored with sidewalk chalk.
Dad came home from the gym just in time to order food for dinner (yummy Pei Wei, though I ended up with Mickey Chicken nuggets. Maybe next time I will get some Pei Wei Honey seared chicken). Since we talked Ms. Lissa and Caroline into staying for dinner and we were covered in sidewalk chalk, Caroline and I had to take a bath. Having someone in the tub is so much fun. We got to splash and play with cups, buckets and the bathtub letters. Caroline is so funny, she put the letter "O" on like a bracelet. And I'm pretty funny to as I kept dumping buckets of water on my head making everyone laugh.
After bath it was jammies and dinner. Sadly, then Caroline had to leave too. I had a great double playdate and can't wait for my friends to come over again.

Monday with Mommy

I had a great day at school. I'm learning about opposites. You know...BIG..small...LOUD..quiet. When Mom came to pick me up at school she decided to take pictures of me in my element. Here I am on the playground. Do you see me?? All my friends ran over to tell me that they saw my Mommy. Hey...I see her too.
I went down the slide real fast so I could go see Mommy. I was so happy to see her.
Mommy and I went to CostCo to look for snacks for my shelf in the kitchen and stuff for our guest room. I love going to CostCo. Usually Dad will get me a piece of pizza and some lemonade. Mom said if I was a good boy, I could get pizza and lemonade. Guess I was a pretty good boy. Here are some pictures of me enjoying my special treat.

Here I am practicing being quiet.
Eating pizza balancing on one leg.....what a talent.
A beautiful sunset was just the way for this fun day to end.

It's never to early to think about your future

Today I woke up and played with Dad. Mom was out late with some old college friends so she got to sleep in. When Mom woke up, she packed up the car and we were on our way to Fort Worth. I toured the TCU campus. It's never to early to think about your future. I really like the university, it had some cool sand volleyball courts, water fountains and stairs to run up and down. Oh and I got to eat lunch at a real college hang-out with some of Mom's old college friends. I can't wait until I go to college.

Where's Riley??

I think he is that way.
Playing in the daffodils.
Getting ready to head home.
I can't wait to see what's ahead of me. Maybe I will be a horned frog.

Super Saturday Run Day

Today started out with hanging out with Mom. Dad got to sleep in since he was at a concert last night...lucky. Mom let me put on the hat we got at Target last night. Do you think it will look good on me for the Dash Down Greenville Race on St. Pat's Day? Also, is there anything that mardi gras beads don't look good with?
Smiles in my new hat.
Mom's car was a little dirty so we took it to the carwash.
Getting super soapy.
I didn't really like the scrubby brushes hitting the car, but I tolerated it. Mom and Dad were excited to take me to the carwash. Apparently, this is what old people do for entertainment.
All clean and ready to go.
After the car wash, we went shopping at Target. I was a little sleepy and didn't quite make it to the checkout awake. Notice I'm still wearing my super cool Diego sunglasses (I sure do love sunglasses now).
I was still asleep when Dad stopped by the comic store.
After our morning of leprechaun hats, carwashes, shopping and IKEA swedish meatballs we went to run a Mardi Gras 5k in downtown Dallas. The race started at 5:30 and we made it right on time. There was quite a crowd.
It was a little cold, so I wasn't quite sure I would like it. But Mom, Dad and I had a great time racing. Here we are at the start.
Here I am at the finish with my victory banana. I was the first one in my family to cross the finish line. I was exactly one stroller length in front of Dad.
Finish line bananas are the best!!!
Here are Mom, Dad and I at the end of the race. It was cold, but we sure did have a good time. Mom and Dad said their legs were tired and they couldn't wait to go home and rest.....amateurs...my legs felt great.
At the end of the race they gave us Mardi Gras beads. Here is just a small sample of the beads I received. I was telling Batman all about my 5k race. He was very impressed.
