Yeah for Friday!!!

At school today I had music class with Mr. Heath. It is always lots of fun to sing and dance. I was still a little sleepy, as I woke up in the middle of the night. (Thanks for staying up with me Mommy.) After school Dad came and picked me up and we went home so I could put on my mardi gras beads. I sure do love them. I wear them all around the house. Then I got to pick out a movie to watch. I love movie Fridays. The family movie this friday is Monsters Inc. For dinner Mom, Dad and I went to Sweet Tomatoes. After dinner Dad headed to a concert with Nate and John. Mom and I went to Target to pick up some pull-ups and look around. Who doesn't like a good stroll through a store? I was a super great shopper. I held Mom's hand and did a great job of listening. I found a Mickey doll at the end of one of the aisles and I did the "hot dog" dance with him. I sure do love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I got a special treat for being such a good boy. It was a green hat from the $1 section from the front of the store. Just like Mom, I love a deal.

Eating a cracker a dinner Eating some ice cream. Notice the mardi gras beads on the table.
Kisses from Dad before he leaves for the concert.
Here is Mickey and Pluto doing the hot dog dance at Target.
More dancing.

Is it Friday yet???

I went to school and played with my friends and learned my shapes and colors. I got a scratch on my back when playing outside. Mom tried to clean it off at first thinking it was dirt...silly Mom. I'm a little daredevil nowadays. My favorite tricks are jumping off this. Sometimes I jump on to the floor and sometimes I try to jump to another object. My favorite is jumping from my Superman chair to the couch. I even move my chair further away to make it harder. Dad's been rather impressed with my skills. After school Mom took me to the track at the high school behind our house where Dad was running. He was running very fast, but I think if I try real hard I can beat him. Then Mom and I went home and started cooking. We made pasta with cucumbers and shrimp. I helped Mom clean the vegetables and I helped sample some fruit (I love bananas, notice they didn't quite make it to my dinner plate). Then I mainly just supervised, every now and then yelling out that I was "Hungry" which means faster.
After dinner Mom and I read some books, Despereaux and The Backyardigans "We love a Luau". I also got a special treat...an oreo. One for Riley. I gave one to Mom.
I also gave one to Dad, though he was a little busy taking a picture. Then it was off to bed.

Easy-Going Wednesday

Today was a great day at school. I was so excited to go to school and see my friends. We had a great day playing, singing, dancing and learning. When I got home, I helped Mom cook dinner. We got our new Martha Stewart Everyday Food in the mail yesterday. So Mom went to Central Market today to stock up on everything we would need to try out some new recipes. Below is the slow cooked chicken with carrots, accompanied with balsamic roasted pearl onions and spinach with pancetta. Yum.

For dessert, I had oreos (reduced fat) and milk in my superman chair. I like to sit in it silly.
Then I put on a Mardi Gras parade with the rainboots Grammie got me for halloween when I was a fireman. Notice my gold beads, don't they look great with my boots.
I'm so proud, because I can put the boots on all by myself.
I was so exhausted after my day. Can you tell by how I was sleeping? (My dad noticed I have been wearing these jammies a lot, but I get to pick them out and I love my space jammies. Maybe tonight I will pick out something different..dinos....cowboys....elmo. So many choices!!).

Back to School

Today it was back to school for me. I sure did like my long weekend with Mom and Dad. At school we played with colors and shapes. Also, we got a new kid in my class. His name is Aiden, and the teachers said I did a great job showing Aiden the ropes.
After school Dad picked me up and we went home and played. Dad made me a great dinner of Mickey chicken nuggets, grapes and cheetos. Dad cooked it all by himself. Later Mom came home and we played with the Batcave and read books.

Dinner by Dad.
Reading books with Mommy.
Reading the book by myself.

Happy President's Day!

Every President's Day, Mom and Dad take off work and we have a special family day. On the way to breakfast, I got one of my last red heart suckers. What a way to start the day!We had breakfast at Corner Bakery. Dad had a ham and cheddar panini and Mom and I shared a bowl of honey banana oatmeal. It was delicious. Here I am playing with Dad's sunglasses.
Then we were off furniture shopping. We are going to redo some parts of our house. Unfortunately, we weren't successful. We look and look, but can't find the right furniture yet. Then we headed to Boomerang's.
It's located right next to one of our favorite natural food stores. We didn't know what to expect, but boy were we surprised. There were tons of bounce houses and games. It was super clean and all the kids were very well behaved. Dad and I loved it, though we were exhausted at the end. Here's some pictures of our adventures.

Me and J.R.

So today started off pretty normal. Mom, Dad and I sleepily woke up and hung out together eating breakfast and getting ready for the day. Dad went to the gym and Mom and I tried decide what to wear for our Sunday. On the agenda was some shopping for my room and the guest room. We were heading to Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn Kids (affectionately called PBK in our house). Yeah, I love playing with the toys at PBK. Then Mom and I decided on being tourists in our own town and going some place we had never been before........Southfork Ranch. Yep, you got it, it's where they filmed the series Dallas a long long long time ago. Mom knew that Dad would like going there as he use to watch the show when he was younger, especially the reruns when he was in college.

Meet JR. We had a good time visiting his house. It was real nice.

Here is part of the Dallas museum. You can take your picture in from of the bright lights for $10, but a picture of only the bright lights is free.
JR was a big part of the museum tour. Not sure why the world would hate him. He has a nice smile and a cool looking hat.
Dad and I eating at Miss Ellie's Deli. The BBQ sandwiches were huge and yummy. This was my first taste of BBQ and I loved it (though I might have referred to the chopped brisket as meatball). So I guess now that I have BBQ in my system, I'm an official Texan.
Here's Southfork Ranch, though for part of the tour I referred to it as Bobby's house. It doesn't look like my friends Bobby and Ben's house, but the man on the tour said Bobby lived here. (Can you see Dad and I if you look real close by the front door?)
Here I am on JR's balcony. Remember the episode where Kristin fell off the balcony into the pool? I don't, but Dad told me not to stand to close to the edge or I might fall too.
Dad and I hanging by the Ewing's pool.
Mom and I were by the pool too.
The backside of the house as seen from our tram ride.
We got to see some horses and longhorns.
See the longhorns.
And the painted horses.

Mom and I on the tram. It was a little chilly, so thankfully I brought my blanket. (Note, my parents gave me my blankie and binkie thinking I would take my nap, but there was no way I was missing seeing the ranch...silly parents).

Here I am at the end of the tour. I was really hoping to get a hat as they are some of my favorite things to play with now, but Mom and Dad said no. I think it looked pretty good on me though.
Another hat shot.
After having a totally nap time of about 30 minutes today, I was exhausted and fell asleep on my floor after pulling out my toys and books. Notice I did put Elway on the pillow though. You might be able to see his shoes at the far end of the pillow.

Happy Valentines Day!!

Finally the big day is here. I've been preparing for it for a few weeks. I've read all the valentine books, made the customary valentine's for my schoolmates and picked out a gift for my Mom and Dad. Mom got a bouquet of roses and Dad got a bouquet of comics. I think they both loved their gifts.
Here's the roses for Mom. The red one if from Dad, the pink is from me.
Here I am reading the Brown Bear book to Buzz. Nothing like sharing a good story with a friend on Valentine's Day.
Here I am playing Valentine's soccer in the neighborhood. Nothing like a good game of soccer in your jammies and tennis shoes.
Trying out the soccer picture stance. Kneeling by soccer ball with hand on knee. Do you think my parents will get the drift that I really want to go to Soccer Tot lessons?
Maybe the hand on ball picture will let them see how badly I want to learn to play goalie.
OK, desperate times call for desperate measures. Mom...Dad....Soccer please.
Dad thinks he can teach me himself, so we go to the track by our house and I kick the ball all around.
Mom and Dad are going out to Valentine's dinner so Ms. Dianne and her daughter Alexandra are coming over to hang out with me. We are going to watch Madagascar II, which Mom and Dad got me for Valentine's Day. It sounds like a much better movie than Mom and Dad are going to see, who wants to see a movie about a Shopaholic.
I wish everyone a very happy Valentine's Day!!!
