Super Saturday!

Today my Dad went to play basketball with Uncle Nay Nay and Baby Jack's Dad, John.

That meant I was hanging out with Mom. Our mission today was to use a $10 gift card for Toys R Us that expires today, get my foot measured and get some new shoes. We printed off a 30% off coupon for kids footlocker and we were off to shop. First stop was Toys R Us. We picked out some great toys. Mom got me the new Jay Cutler figurine and I picked out two stuffed Kung Fu Panda toys (Po and Tai Lung). Po and Tai Lung came in every store with us the rest of the day.
Here I am with my two new toys.

After Toys R Us, I was pretty sleepy so Mom let me sleep on her purse in the cart at Target. She couldn't believe that I slept in the cart for the whole shopping trip.
Beginning of our Target trip

Still asleep after shopping

Then we went to Kids Footlocker and picked out some shoes. Mom was going to buy me these boring plain shoes, but thankfully they didn't have them in my size (which is now a 9, yep I have huge feet). I picked out my usual Sesame Street New Balance shoes. I love them and they were a great deal. Regularly $42.99, we got them for $25 a pair. Mom and I love getting a deal. (Thanks for the 30% off coupon Slickdeals.net.

I was excited to head home and see Dad. He opened up my Jay Cutler figurine (which is against his nature as all his figurines from his childhood are still in boxes).
Here Dad is opening up Jay, though I call him Elway.
We played in the backyard while Mom went to the gym.
Here I am playing with Rusty. He's Tai Lung and I'm Po the Panda.

And here I am outside throwing the football with Jay CutlerIt was parents night out at my school, so Mom and Dad dropped me off so I could play with my friends and they could get away for dinner and a movie.

I Love Fridays!!!

Today at school I went to music class with Mr. Heath. I sang, danced and enjoyed hanging out with my friends. Somewhere during the day I got some scratches on my face, Mom is going to hate that my pretty face is all scratched up. When I got home I was suprised to find that my parents bought a TV for our guestroom/Riley playland. I can't wait until it is all set up and I can watch my movies upstairs. We went out and celebrated the new member of our TV family with a meal out at Chili's.
I was such a good boy that I got some chocolate cake for dessert.

I really really love Fridays.

Toe-day was a great day

Today was another super chilly day here in Texas. When I woke up this morning there was a thick fog outside. I wasn't sure if daddy and I would be able to find our way to school this morning.

This is the view from my backyard. I can usually see the high school and football field from here, but this morning it all just disappeared. The whole world seemed to be made out of super white cotton candy. Yummy.

Today at school was all about learning about our toes. At story time we read Terrific Toes and Five Toes, in art we painted with our toes, and in math we counted with our fingers and toes. I found out that when you're trying to learn to count to 20, it's easier if you can use both your fingers and toes. What do I do though, when I am trying to learn to count to 30??

As I mentioned earlier, it has been really cold this week so I haven't been able to go outside and play that much. I can't wait until it warms up so daddy and I can do "cool dudes." Cool dudes are when daddy and I are riding around in his car together. I point and tell daddy to roll down the windows and we laugh and yell "weeeee" when the wind blows through our hair. It is so much fun being cool dudes with daddy. We did cool dudes last weekend when we went to the park.

It is supposed to be warm again this weekend, so hopefully I can take a nice long wagon ride with mommy and daddy to the park to play.

Happy Birthday??

The title of my post will make sense in a second. It was another cold day today here in north Texas. I got to stay home a little bit in the morning while Dad and I waited for the ice to melt. It was super slick and icy today, so Dad didn't have to be into work until 10. I only wish I knew that before I woke up early.
Here is what it looked like when we walked outside.
Here's how icy our car was. Thank goodness Dad gets it all warm before I get inside.
Ok, so back to the title of my post. I was playing in the play kitchen at school and I got a plate of play spaghetti and took it to my teacher Ms. Nellie and said Happy Birthday. She almost cried.
She wrote a special note on my daily sheet for my parents about how happy this made her. I guess she loves meatballs and spaghetti as I do. It always feels like my birthday when I get this special treat. It makes me a little teary eyed thinking about a good plate of meatballs and spaghetti too.

Jingle Bells

Yes, it's an interesting title for a post, but today was so cold that I associated it with Christmas and decided that it would still be appropriate to sing Jingle Bells.

We didn't get to go outside at school again.....it's okay I was able to play in the new playroom at school. Mom picked me up from school after she got done at the gym. We went home and played with my toys. When Dad got back from the gym I headed off to bathtime. After bathtime I watched part of Kung Fu Panda and with my toys in Riley world. Then I picked up Superman and we were off to bed.

Twenty

Today I counted to twenty without any help. I didn't even skip number 4, like I usually do. I also recited all my shapes and colors, though I needed a little help on shapes, an oval looks a lot like a circle if you ask me. It was super cold and a little wet so I didn't get to go outside to play. Dad picked me up from school and we watched Kung Fu Panda while Mom went to the gym. By the time Mom got back she was greeted with a bathtime concert with Dad playing guitar while I was singing in the bathtub. Ok, I might have been screaming with a smile more than singing, but the bathroom has a fun echo. After bathtime I played with Superman and we flew up to bed.

Here I am singing full force in the tub.
I am such a QT. Get it, see the Q and T in my mouth.

Sunday Funday!

Today was a great day. I woke up and played with Mom and Dad. You should see Riley World, the table can hardly handle anymore figurines, trains, trucks or helicopters. All the toys were pretty wild today, there was more than a couple timeouts, especially for Harold the Helicopter. For lunch Mom made us some baked ziti with sausage...it was awesome....though it could have used some meatballs. In the afternoon, my Mom took a much needed nap and Dad and I went to the park. I had so much fun at the park. Dad and I went down the slide together and ran around and chased each other. When I got home Mom made Dad and I some Pear Berry Crisp. It smelled so good. I wonder if I can have some for dinner.

Shopping, shopping and more shopping

Mom and Dad took me shopping with them....how boring. We weren't shopping for toys, we were stuck looking at furniture stores. We looked for a big bed for me. I thought I found one I liked, but I'm not sure so I guess we will keep looking. Mom and Dad went to a birthday party for Caroline's Dad, Happy Birthday Mr. Wes!!! Ms. Dianne and her daughter Alexandra stayed and played with me while Mom and Dad were out. I love it when they come over. Kind of a slow Saturday.

My Super Duper Playdate

Today I started my next semester of music classes with Mr. Heath, so Dad took me to school in the morning. Mom came to school and picked me up so we could go to our playdate with Bobby, Ben and Caroline. Mom and I have been fighting allergies, I just call them Gees. We weren't contagious, but we definitely didn't feel like we could handle a whole day of school or work, so a playdate was the perfect medicine to help us feel better and not get stir crazy in our house.

I had a great time playing at Caroline's house. There were tons of toys to play with, my favorite was the Mickey Mouse clubhouse.
Here's Ben.
Here's Bobby...Ben's big brother.
Caroline, who has the coolest pink toys.
I never got a real nap though I laid in bed and watched Lion King and Toy Story which I think is like a nap, but Mom disagrees. On the way home I fell asleep in the car and was out the rest of the night. What an awesome day. It sure helped my allergies feel better. This picture sums up how I feel about playdates.

Sleeping In

I had an interesting morning. Instead of the usual morning drive with Dad to school, I got to hang out with Mom in the morning. She let me sleep in with Rusty and Chloe.
When I woke up, I came down and had breakfast and watched the end of Igor. Mom was busy preparing a crockpot of Beef Stroganoff. Mom was chopping onions, cutting up meat and opening cans of soup...this is Dad's favorite meal. After Igor, I went to school and Mom went to work. I played with all my friends, read lots of books and had Beef Stroganoff for lunch (I can't believe we are having stroganoff on the same day that Mom is making it). While I was outside playing Mom came to pick me up, she had just gotten back from the gym. I went home and the whole house smelled like Beef.......mmm Dad and I love meat.
I finally got to try some of the angel food cake Mom made from scratch last night. Yum. This was my second piece. Once Dad got home we got to play. It was awesome, I got to play on the roof of my playhouse and I got to jump from the couch into my Superman chair.....I love playing with Dad.
My Mom told me that I might get to go on a playdate with Bobby, Ben and Caroline tomorrow. I love playdate Fridays. I can't wait until tomorrow.

Get Lost!!

My parents are super excited about one of their favorite shows...Lost. Not only is Lost coming back on tonight, but it is on for like 3 hours. How am I suppose to get in my Diego watching or Lion King, or Mickey Mouse clubhouse....ahhhh get lost LOST!!!

Other than Lost coming back I had a pretty great day. The weather was amazing so I got to play outside a lot today. I also got to fingerpaint, I made yellow moons. It's a good thing that yellow matched my outfit for the day. I played outside so much, that by the time I got home I didn't want to go outside and ride my bike, I just wanted to watch one of my favorite shows. I had a surprise at home Mom bought me the movie Igor.
I saw it at the movies with Mom and Dad and now I have it on DVD....yeah. I only got to watch part of the movie, so hopefully I get to watch the rest tomorrow. Exciting news....I ate something other than meatballs.

Mom made me a pork tenderloin marinated in an asian sauce. I loved it. I ate more than Mom and Dad combined. My parents couldn't believe how much I ate, and then they read my sheet from school. It was turkey roll-up day and I don't like turkey roll-ups, but I sure do like pork tenderloin.

Happy Inauguration Day!

Congratulations Mr. President! Happy Inauguration Day!
Today I went to school and learned about nursery rhymes. I played in circle time with my friends and danced. I have my first girlfriend or at least a girl that I call my girlfriend. Her name is Tia. She is super sweet and I think Mom approves. Dad was making a joke and said he had a girlfriend. I came downstairs and told Mom. I don't think she thought it was as funny as Dad did. After school, I watched an episode of Backyardigans, wrestled with Dad and played until nighttime. Oh.....I almost forgot, Mom got me a copy of the movie Igor. I can't wait to watch it.

Today our maid came, thank goodness she didn't try to organize Riley World. Can you find Batman, Superman, Buzz Lightyear and Blankie in the picture below. Playing with Crayola Model Magic Fusion Modeling clay. I love this stuff and Mom says it is way easier to clean up than Play-Doh.
Here I am wrestling with Daddy. Notice, I'm wearing my Broncos mardi gras beads again.

Woo Woo come back!!!

I've been real sad since my Aunt Woo Woo left. I keep repeating...Woo Woo come back in a very authoritative voice. So far Woo Woo has yet to return. Today I went to school and learned some new songs and played the Egg Roll game. What is that you ask? Even my parents don't know what exactly the Egg Roll game is, so right now I'm keeping it a secret.
After school, I was shocked to learn that my Dad was off of work all day and Mom took a half day. They even went to movie without me. No big deal though, I had a great day at school and I had almost two extra helpings of hamburgers at lunch today....yum. After school we went to Central Market in Southlake. Dad and I had some dinner......what did I get.......spaghetti and meatballs.
My Dad couldn't believe I ate it all, I think he was secretly hoping there would be extra meatball for him. Everyone in the store thought I was super cute as I helped Dad put the groceries in the cart. For being such a good helper, Dad let me pick out some gummy frogs and swedish fish candy. I also got to have some samples of the birthday cake. You might think that I accidentally added an "s" to sample, but it was no accident. Mom got me one sample and half way up to the register I finished it and turned around singing Happy Birthday TO YOU (I like to yell the TO YOU part). I found the bakery and Dad found me, he got me two more samples in hopes of making it all the way to the register. With all the sugar pumping through my veins, I had to run all around the checkout, before being harnessed into my carseat. Ahh what a great trip to the grocery store. Spaghetti and Meatballs and birthday cake.....Central Market..I love you!!!

Sunday Sunday Sundae!!!

Today was the coolest day......I got to see my friend Diego. In the morning, we went shopping with Woo Woo. At CostCo, Dad bought me a big slice of pizza and lemonade. I ate the whole piece, yummy pepperoni. After shopping, we stopped off at a park in Coppell. My paparazzi came (aka Mom), so there are about a thousand pictures of our trip to the park. After the park, we went to the opening of the Market Street in Coppell. We were waiting in a line outside of the store for what seemed like forever and then it happened.....I saw him......Diego. It was amazing. He is usually sitting in the TV, but there he was in real life. There were about 5 kids in front of me and 40 behind me, the first 4 did awesome and then the kid in front of me lost it. It made me a little scared, it was just Diego, but did he know something I didn't. I was smiling, beaming and super excited to see Diego, but I was a little worried after that kid in front of me, so Mom had to be in the Diego picture with me. After we saw Diego, we went out to lunch with Woo Woo for Pho, her favorite. Then it was time to go home and nap. But, I didn't want to nap, I wanted to ride my bike with Woo Woo. So before Woo Woo left town, I went for my first real bike ride......that's right I started pedaling on my own while repeating. pedal..pedal..pedal....all the way around the neighborhood. I ended the day with a sundae with whipped cream, yum.

Here we are at the Coppell Park. I love Kid Country.
Look at how huge this park is. Do you think I can get one for my backyard?
The park even had some bells. Mom and Woo Woo played a song and I wanted to play too. I think I was pretty good, so if guitar or drums doesn't work out I guess I could always play bells.
Playing with the bells.
Doing the monkey bars like Dad.
Dad after he finished the monkey bars. You can't tell by the picture, but his hands hurt. I guess it isn't as easy when you are 30.
Woo Woo and I sitting on the wooden train.
Woo Woo helping me with my beam skills.
I love tunnels. I like to find the most difficult places for Mom and Dad to follow me.
Swinging with Dad......higher Daddy...higher.
I love the swings.
Climbing, climbing and more climbing.
Running, running and more running.
Check out this super cool kid. I wonder where Dad and I can find batwings.
Here I am driving to go see Diego.....just kidding. Dad drove but he let me pretend while we waited for Diego.
Can you guess who I see?I see you Diego
Hanging out with Diego
Giving Diego a high five
